Cole Palmer breaks the internet by totally violating Chelsea teammate sat right next to him in Conference League press conference

The Chelsea star didn't hold back when winding his teammate up after the win.

Chelsea star Cole Palmer left the internet in stitches after embarrassing his teammate after their win in the Conference League final.

Just days after securing a spot in next season's Champions League with a crucial win over Nottingham Forest, Chelsea secured their biggest win of the season in the Conference League final against Real Betis.

After going 1-0 down to the Spanish side early in the match, Chelsea star Palmer helped put his side on top, assisting two goals as the Premier League side produced a spectacular second-half comeback to win the match 4-1.

The Englishman's performance saw him earn the player of the match award in the final, but it is his demand about one other award from the competition that has got fans online talking.

As is the case with all UEFA competitions, following the final one player will be named the Player of the Tournament, and Palmer is adamant that it should be teammate Tosin Adarabioyo.

During the post-match press conference, the Chelsea star asked: ""Can I ask a question, who gives Player of the Tournament out for the competition?"

When he was told it would be decided by the UEFA technical observer panel" , he added: "Can someone tell him Tosin wants it"

The comment was met with laughter from the entire press room, including Adarabioyo who was sat beside Palmer at the time.

Having made 10 appearances for Chelsea in the competition this season, Adarabioyo has been a vital part of Chelsea's success in the Conference League.

In this time, the defender kept five clean sheets and scored one goal against Armenian side FC Noah Yerevan.

After leaving London rivals Fulham as a free agent last summer, Adarabioyo has established himself as a key player at Chelsea, making 37 appearances across all competitions this season.

The 27-year-old's performances this season has attracted interest from fans of the Nigerian national team, who he is eligible to play for, leading to Adarabioyo being asked to address rumours that he had previously turned down the chance to play for the Super Eagles.

He said: "I have never turned down Nigeria and never had any conversation with them to say I would be going to Nigeria.

"At the point of last season, we had this little bit of conversation, I told them I wanted to focus on club football. I was in my last year at Fulham."
