Chelsea and Manchester United fans were shocked to see what Jadon Sancho did immediately after winning the Conference League final.

On Wednesday evening, Chelsea became the fourth Premier League side to win silverware this season as they got the better of La Liga club Real Betis in the UEFA Conference League final.

Having initially gone 1-0 down to the Spanish side early in the match, the Blues pulled off a spectacular second-half comeback, winning the match 4-1.

After the match, the cameras immediately panned to Manchester United teammates Sancho and Antony, who are currently on loan with Chelsea and Betis respectively, to catch their reactions to the tense result.

And fans were shocked to see the pair embracing as Sancho consoled Antony as he was reduced to tears following the gut-wrenching loss.

Since arriving at Betis at the end of January, Antony appears to have turned his career around, scoring nine goals and assisting five as he helped the La Liga side win 13 and draw eight of his 25 matches at the club.

A win in the Conference League final in Wroclaw would have been the perfect fairytale ending to his loan spell with Betis, but it wasn't to be and Antony was clearly very upset about it.

Reacting to the moment on X, one United fan wrote: "They knew one of them had to get it, sad it had to be the blues."

Another added: "From United teammates to Conference League finalists what a journey for Sancho and Antony!"

While a rival fan joked: "Both are lamenting having to return to Manchester United this summer."

And another United fan replied: "They should both stay in their respective club. United do not need their service anymore."

Unlike Antony, Sancho's loan spell with Chelsea hasn't necessarily been a massive success, with the Englishman scoring just five goals in 41 appearances since arriving in June.

Recent rumours have even suggested that the London club are even willing to pay up to £5million to get out of their obligation to buy Sancho for between £20m and £25m.

However, after scoring Chelsea's third goal last night, Enzo Maresca could yet decide to make Sancho's move a permanent one ahead of next season.
