It was a moment that was described by one fan on social media as being "the worst post-final winning interview in sporting history".
Fresh from his Man of the Match-winning performance in the Conference League final, Cole Palmer delivered an unforgettable chat with TNT Sports as he spoke about his two assists, and whether Chelsea's season was a successful one.
It was certainly a successful final for Enzo Maresca's side, who ran rampant against Real Betis as second-half goals from Enzo Fernandez, Nicolas Jackson, Jadon Sancho, and Moises Caicedo sealed a well-earned 4-1 victory in Wrocław, Poland.

After a slow start to proceedings, the Premier League side managed to overturn a 1-0 half-time deficit thanks, in part, to the brilliance of Palmer.
Speaking in his post-match interview, the England international was asked how he managed to find the space he needed to deliver two assists for his team. Palmer replied: "Erm... I don't know. I was trying to find space as the team got going. And yeah."
As you can see from the footage above, the TNT reporter proceeded to speak to captain Reece James for a couple of minutes before Palmer was pushed for his thoughts on Chelsea winning the full set of European trophies.

"To be the only team in history is a great feeling," he said. "So yeah."
The 23-year-old, known for his nonchalant approach to interviews, was then asked if he would call Chelsea's campaign a successful one. He pointed towards James and said: "Ask the captain."
Palmer's chat with TNT sparked plenty of reaction on social media, with fans reacting to his short responses.
One said: "Will Cole Palmer ever get media training? His interviews are definitely one of a kind," and a second wrote: "Pundits and journalists should just never interview Cole Palmer. Guy has no interest in speaking to them and it’s glorious."

A third commented: "Palmer interview.. why are people so uninterested after winning a final? Is this cool?"
A fourth said: "This Cole palmer interview. Saying ask the captain. Lmfao," and a fifth added: "That post-match interview with Palmer & James with @footballontnt was disrespectful. No need. Embarrassing."
