Chelsea have completed the signing of another player - despite the transfer window closing 11 days ago.

The Blues did major business during the window, with forwards Joao Pedro and Liam Delap the most high-profile arrivals.

More significant work was done on outgoings, with the permanent departures of Noni Madueke, Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall helping to amount to total sales of over £150 million.

High earner Raheem Sterling is one of the few unwanted players still on Chelsea's books, with the Blues unable to find a new club for the £325,000-per-week winger.

Those moves have helped Chelsea to free up space in their wage budget - and another new arrival has been confirmed.

Striker Emanuel Emegha has signed a pre-contract agreement with the club.

The 22-year-old Netherlands striker currently plays for Ligue 1 side Strasbourg, who are also owned by Chelsea's majority owners BlueCo.

He will move to Stamford Bridge on July 1, 2026.

The deal has been confirmed by Chelsea on their social media channels.

A significant number of deals were completed between the two clubs during the window, with the Blues signing 19-year-old centre-back Mamadou Sarr before loaning him back to Liam Rosenior's side.

Young Chelsea players Mike Penders and Kendry Paez are also on loan at Strasbourg, who signed left-back Ben Chilwell on a free transfer.

There has been notable controversy surrounding the two clubs' dealings, especially with Fabrizio Romano reporting that a proposed deal for Brighton's Julio Enciso was to be completed by BlueCo.

The deal would have seen Enciso initially join Strasbourg for €20 million before potentially moving to Chelsea in the future, but the move fell through.

Emegha currently captains Strasbourg and scored 14 goals in Ligue 1 last season.

He helped Rosenior's side to qualify for European football for the first time in the club's history.

Strasbourg finished seventh in Ligue 1 and defeated Danish side Brondby in the final qualifying round for the Conference League.

Emegha told the club's official website: "Strasbourg gave me the opportunity to develop and get to the level that I am today ... for me, I just want to focus on Strasbourg, 100 per cent Strasbourg, until the end of the season, and then I will leave.

"I don't want there to be rumours or things that can distract my team or me, so I think it is the best decision to bring it out right now.

"I'm a guy that gives 100 per cent every day for the team and for the club, and I will keep doing this until the end.

"I spoke with Chelsea, Strasbourg, BlueCo, about what would be best for my career ... we thought it would be best for my career to stay in Strasbourg for one year, to lead the team in Europe, to write another history here, then go to Chelsea."
