Fans notice Chelsea's Premier League fixture schedule after Aston Villa loss, it's horrendous

It has been a summer of change at Chelsea both in the dugout and the squad and that appears to be showing so far this season with the club's poor start.

Mauricio Pochettino has taken over in the dugout at Stamford Bridge, while there has been a massive turnover in players both arriving and departing the West London club.

The changes have been reflected so far this season with a poor start to the Premier League campaign.

Pochettino's side have won just once so far in the top flight, having most recently fallen to a 1-0 by Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge courtesy of an Ollie Watkins goal. In turn, the club are now languishing in 14th in the table after six matches.

Pochettino's side could really do with a favourable run of fixtures coming up to help string together some results in a bid to try and climb up the table.

It seems though that the fixture computer has had different ideas - and to say it's quite a tough run of games coming up one after another would be a bit of an understatement.

Chelsea's rather hellish run begins on October 21 when they host Arsenal at Stamford Bridge, followed a week later when they take on Brentford.

On November 4, Chelsea travel to North London to take on Tottenham Hotspur, before hosting champions Manchester City the following week.

After the November international break, Pochettino's side have a trip to St James' Park to take on Newcastle United, before hosting Brighton & Hove Albion the following weekend.

And after taking on the Seagulls, Chelsea face a midweek trip to Old Trafford to take on Manchester United, just a few days before they stay in the North West with a trip to Goodison Park with a clash against Everton.

The run of results has not gone unnoticed among fans and few are predicting it to be an easy one on X, formerly known as Twitter, with the prospect of a battle in the bottom three being forecast.

Good luck, Chelsea fans, but it might be best to keep your expectations low over that month or two.
