A Chelsea player aimed a subtle dig at Mason Mount on social media following their stunning victory over Manchester United.

Chelsea came from 3-2 down to beat Man United 4-3 in a thrilling Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge on Thursday.

Cole Palmer bagged not one but two goals in stoppage time to seal an unlikely win.

He levelled proceedings from the spot before scoring a dramatic winner in the 101st minute.

Mount, who scored his first goal for the club in his side's draw against Brentford last weekend, was brought on in the 86th minute.

He was met with a chorus of boos upon entering the fray.

Enzo Fernandez clashed with the former Chelsea star, with Alfie Gilchrist rubbing salt in Mount's wounds online.

After the match, Gilchrist, who came on in the 75th minute, seemed to aim a dig with his post on Instagram.

He uploaded an image of himself next to Mount, accompanied with the caption: "We fight till the end."

Chelsea's win over Man United sees them re-enter the top half of the table as they occupy 10th place, with 43 points on the board.

Speaking after the result, Palmer credited Mauricio Pochettino for Chelsea's come-from-behind victory.

"It was a crazy game," he told TNT Sports. "When we scored in the 98th minute I thought let’s go for it. Madness.

"I didn’t know what to do. I was running round when I scored. A hat-trick is a hat-trick. It was my first one, I’m really happy about it.

"When we scored he [Pochettino] said there’s two minutes left, come on. He’s always trying to drive us on. We went for it and thankfully we scored.

"It’s a big winner. It’s a massive momentum booster. It puts everyone in a good mood. Hopefully we can kick on."
