Charlton Athletic have issued a statement after their Championship game against Portsmouth was abandoned in the first-half following a medical emergency.
Charlton hosted Portsmouth at The Valley in a lunchtime kick-off on Saturday.
But the Championship clash lasted around 14 minutes before it was abandoned following a medical emergency in the crowd.
The match referee temporarily paused the game for treatment to be administered to a supporter in the Covered End Lower.

Players from both sides were taken off the pitch as treatment continued.
There was then a wait of around 45 minutes to determine whether the league fixture would restart before Charlton took to social media to confirm the abandonment.
On X, the club wrote: "Due to a medical emergency in the crowd, today’s match has been abandoned.
"We thank you for your patience and understanding. Everyone at the club sends their best wishes to the supporter affected and thank our medical team and first responders. Information on when the match will be rescheduled will be announced in due course."

In a statement, Portsmouth said: "Pompey's Championship match against Charlton at The Valley has been abandoned following a medical incident in the home section of the crowd.
"Our thoughts and best wishes are with the individual involved and their family.
"The club will provide information on a new date for the fixture and ticketing arrangements in due course."
The EFL added: "Sending our very best wishes to the supporter affected."
Charlton later confirmed a fan passed away in the wake of the medical emergency.
"Charlton Athletic are devastated to report that a supporter has passed away following a medical emergency at The Valley today," they said.
"Everyone at the club sends their heartfelt condolences to the supporter’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time."
Charlton entered Saturday's game having lost four league matches in a row, including a defeat to league leaders Coventry City and a 5-1 home thrashing to Southampton.
Portsmouth, meanwhile, were coming off back-to-back losses to Sheffield United and Bristol City.
Charlton and Portsmouth resume their Championship campaign next Tuesday as they face Middlesbrough and Swansea City respectively.
It remains to be seen when Charlton vs. Portsmouth will be rescheduled.
