Rio Ferdinand has issued a statement explaining why he will not be covering Paris Saint Germain vs Arsenal on TNT Sports.
On Wednesday night, the Gunners will arrive at the Parc des Princes looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit and seal a place in the Champions League final.
The much-anticipated match will be broadcast live on TNT Sports, but Ferdinand will not be a part of the commentary team.

Ferdinand has been a key part of TNT Sports' commentary team in the Champions League this season, often appearing alongside Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist.
However, he will not be present this time around.
Taking to social media, the former Manchester United and England star posted a picture of himself and wrote: "Gutted to be missing the Semi-Finals this week on @footballontnt!!

"Wishing the team all the best — I’ll be watching every minute from the iPad!"
In response, the Football on TNT Sports social media account wrote: "Get well soon, Rio."
Ferdinand was also on media duty for United's 3-0 Europa League semi-final first leg win over Athletic Club at the San Mames last week, but is now unlikely to be on the mic when the pair face off at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

The winner from PSG vs Arsenal will earn the right to take on Italian giants Inter Milan in the final of the Champions League, which will be held in Munich on May 31.
Simone Inzaghi's men secured their place in the showpiece final after a dramatic 4-3 win over La Liga side Barcelona and the San Siro on Tuesday night.
Prior to the match against PSG, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta said: "We are here to make history, and we have a big opportunity tomorrow. We bring a result that gives us so much clarity about what we have to do.
"One win away from being in the final. We cannot ask for anything else. Let's not do the talking [now], let's do it tomorrow on that pitch at 9pm when the game starts. Show our best, best, best, best version and win the game."
