Gareth Bale left the CBS Sports studio in stitches after brutally shutting down Jamie Carragher.
On Tuesday night, the Champions League returned with several of the biggest matches in Europe taking place, including Liverpool v Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain v Bayern Munich.
Of course, with the return of European football came the return of the beloved CBS Sports Champions League coverage including Kate Scott, Micah Richards, Thierry Henry and Carragher.
With his former side welcoming Champions League royalty to Anfield, Carragher left the CBS studio behind to report live from the match alongside Peter Schmeichel, with Bale replacing the Liverpool legend inside the studio.

And it's safe to say that Bale impressed in his first outing in the studio, as he hilariously shot down Carragher after he tried to make a joke about the Welshman's punditry performance.

After watching his side pick up a crucial win in what has been a tough couple of weeks for Liverpool fans, Carragher called in to the CBS studio to speak with his fellow pundits about the match.
During the call, he confirmed that he will also be absent from the CBS desk during Wednesday night's show as he will be in Manchester among the Dortmund fans as they play Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

This means that Bale will once again be in the studio on Wednesday, leading Carragher to make a joke about the Real Madrid legend's performance during Tuesday's show.
He said: "I'll go in with the Dortmund fans tomorrow, I'll give Gareth another night to make sure it's not just a flash in the pan, just the one game, like it was in the San Siro that time."
Carragher's reference to the media's reaction to Bale's first senior hat-trick during Tottenham Hotspur's shock win over Inter Milan at the San Siro in April 2010 left Henry and the rest of the panel reeling.
But Bale wasn't prepared to let the comment slide, as he hit back, saying: "Which game is he on about? The one where we won the Champions League final or the other one?"

During his spell with Real Madrid, Bale won five Champions Leagues trophies, two of which were during finals against Liverpool.
Most notably, the forward came off the bench and scored two goals, including a spectacular overhead kick, to win the 2018 final against the Reds in Kyiv's Olympic Stadium.
