UK fans are shocked after learning who the 'special guest' will be for the CBS broadcast of the Champions League final in the US.

This Saturday the Champions League final will take place at Wembley, with Real Madrid set to battle it out with surprise package Borussia Dortmund for the trophy.

Madrid have been firm favourites throughout the competition, bypassing RB Leipzig, Manchester City, and Bayern Munich on their way to the final.

Dortmund, however, have taken European football by surprise as they emerged top of the 'group of death' and have since knocked out PSV, Atletico Madrid, and PSG.

It sets up one of the most interesting finals in recent years, as underdogs Dortmund search for their second UCL title, while Madrid looks to add a fifteenth.

One of the most universally loved aspects of the Champions League this season is the entertainment we get from the CBS team, despite it being aired in the US.

However, the American broadcaster has shocked a lot of their UK fans with a surprise 'special guest' for their UCL final coverage.

CBS announced via X that the show would feature the special guests of Alessandro Del Piero, Joel Embiid, and Dora the Explorer. Yes, Dora the Explorer.

Fans of the NFL might have expected this as the children's TV character also featured in the CBS 2024 Super Bowl coverage.

During the game, Dora would appear on screen to explain certain decisions and key moments. The use of Dora in the Champions League coverage is set to be similar.

While this may be the norm for those across the pond, UK fans of CBS have taken to social media to give their take on the 'special guest'.

One fan wrote: "Excuse me, what….Dora."

Another joked: "Dora will have better opinions than most of them."

A third added: "Now way, Dora and Del Piero! What a link-up."

"Interested to see who offers the most intelligence - Dora or Micah Richards," a fourth account commented.
