Fans are shocked after seeing what Saudi Pro League side Al Nassr are preparing to bid for Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma .

As the final days of the January transfer window approaches, the Saudi Pro League have been extremely busy in the market, signing some of the biggest names in the sport.

On Wednesday, several reports claimed that Saudi club Al Nassr has agreed terms with the highly-regarded young Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, with the Premier League club set to receive more than £64.4million plus add-ons.

But it would appear that Al Nassr aren't done there, as new reports have revealed that they are preparing another massive bid for Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma, and fans cannot believe the fee.

As per The Athletic, Al Nassr submitted their first official bid for the Japanese international on Thursday, offering a transfer fee of €65m to secure his services.

However, Brighton decided to reject the offer as they are reluctant to let Mitoma, who signed a new contract in October 2023 keeping him at the club in 2027, leave the club this month.

But the Premier League side's quick dismissal of Al Nassr's first offer reportedly will not be enough to deter them, as CBS Sports Correspondent James Benge has claimed that the Saudi side are preparing a club-record second bid for Mitoma worth up to £90m.

As it stands, Duran will become Al Nassr's record signing once his transfer is confirmed, but should the Saudi Pro League club's bid for Mitoma exceed the £64.4m paid for the striker, they will break their record fee for the second time in two days.

Having seen reports of the bids on social media, it's safe to say that football fans are blown away.

Reacting to the news, one fan wrote: "90 million?! The game is well and truly gone."

While one commented "I don't know what's more outrageous the 90 million or Brighton being reluctant."

And another claimed: "Brighton will definitely sell. They don't joke with deals like this. £90m is huge, It's just a matter of time now."

Several other rival fans also commented on the post suggesting that, if Al Nassr are willing to spend as much as £90m for a Premier League attacker, then they should look to their club instead, with the likes of Gabriel Martinelli, Luis Diaz and Nicolas Jackson all mentioned.

However, if Al Nassr hope to complete a deal for Mitoma, or any other player for that matter, then they will need to hope they can get the transfer over the line ahead of the Saudi Pro League transfer deadline tomorrow.
