Arsenal have reportedly preparing to completely overhaul their squad in a move that could see them sell two star players to buy their top target.

As the final weeks of the 2025/26 Premier League season approach, fans are already starting to look ahead to what promises to be a hectic transfer window while the World Cup takes place.

Among the clubs expected to be bust over the summer is Arsenal who will reportedly spend big regardless of the outcome of their campaigns for both the Premier League and Champions League titles.

However, after spending big last summer, topping the table in terms of net spend with a whopping £257million, it is believed that the Gunners will have to say goodbye to several players at the end of the season.

And financial regulations in football increasingly strict, it is possible that a number of the players to leave the Emirates in the summer could be players that have been key to Mikel Arteta's time at the club.

According to a report from CaughtOffside, Arsenal have already identified both Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz as potential outgoing in the summer, as the club looks to overhaul their attack.

Both forwards have struggled with extensive spells on the sidelines due to injuries during their time at Arsenal and are therefore seen as expendable should a deal be possible.

A later report from the outlet claims that Arsenal would be willing to accept offers of around €40m for Jesus, who has scored 31 goals in 119 appearances since joining from Manchester City in the summer of 2022.

Meanwhile Havertz, who has 33 goals in his 103 appearances since arriving from Chelsea in July 2023, could be sold for a fee around €80m (£69.6m).

Arsenal prepare massive bid for former Premier League star

If Arsenal are to sell both Jesus and Havertz in the summer, it has been reported that they would look to bring in another star striker alongside current striker Viktor Gyokeres.

On top of their list of targets if former Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez, a player who has attracted interest from several top European sides, including Paris Saint-Germain, in recent months

Caught Offside claim that Arsenal plan to act swiftly to position themselves as the frontrunners to sign the Argentine, who has impressed since joining Atletico Madrid in August 2024.

So far this season, the 26-year-old has scored 18 goals in all competitions for Diego Simeone’s side.

However, any deal for Alvarez is likely to cost a serious amount of money, with Atletico reportedly valuing their striker at around €120m (£104.34m), marking a significant profit after paying €95m (£81.8 million) when signing him from City.
