Crystal Palace's Eberechi Eze is set to receive a special gift from Arsenal once his transfer is completed.
Eze, 27, has been linked with both Spurs and Arsenal throughout the summer transfer window, but has reportedly agreed a deal in principle to join the Gunners despite previous reports suggesting a move to Tottenham was all but sealed.
The 27-year-old, who was at Arsenal’s academy until being released at 13, is set to become the north London club’s seventh signing of the summer - with Kepa Arrizabalaga, Cristhian Mosquera, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres having arrived earlier in the window - upon the completion of his proposed transfer.
It is also well documented that the England international grew up supporting the club and idolised Arsenal legends such as Thierry Henry.

During an interview with Alessandro Morolli-Schiavone back in 2018, Eze opened up about his love for the club.
When talking about why he liked Arsenal, Eze explained: “I just supported them from [a] young [age], the way they play… I played with them when I was younger as well.”
He added: “When I was younger, I used to love Thierry Henry, and that’s sort of why I decided to sign there… obviously to play for the club you support, that’s what I wanted to do… I’ve grown a love for the team.”

Of course, Eze’s arrival at the Emirates will, no doubt, be met with huge excitement from the club’s fanbase, especially given the interest from Spurs.
Alongside the well-wishes of fans, the England international will also receive a ‘welcome gift’ when he completes his proposed move.
New Arsenal players receive personal welcome letters from their teammates when they arrive at the club.

Declan Rice recently penned a note to Madueke when he joined from Chelsea, while Martin Odegaard did the same for Gyokeres.
Mikel Merino wrote to Martin Zubimendi when he joined from Real Sociedad, having previously played together for the Basque club as well as the Spain national team.
It is unclear who will pen the letter ahead of Eze’s arrival, but Bukayo Saka could be in the frame due to the pair’s close friendship. The duo were recently spotted attending the Spanish Grand Prix together with their fellow England teammates.
