Celtic fans have been reacting on social media after Alex Oxalde-Chamberlain was taken off at half-time against Rangers.
After leaving Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas back in 2025, ex-Arsenal and Liverpool star Oxlade-Chamberlain signed for Scottish giants Celtic last month, on a reported six-month contract with an option for a further year.
The 32-year-old hit the ground running straight away, scoring on his debut during a 2-1 win over Livingston at Celtic Park.
On Sunday afternoon, Oxlade-Chamberlain was given his first taste of the Old Firm Derby as he started against Rangers at Ibrox.

It was a torrid first half for the visitors as a brace from Youssef Chermiti gave Rangers a well-deserved 2-0 lead at the break.
Before the second half got underway, Martin O'Neill decided to make two changes, with Oxlade-Chamberlain and Junior Adamu being replaced by Reo Hatate and Sebastian Tounekti.
Taking to social media, Celtic fans were left far from impressed with Oxlade-Chamberlain's performance.
One fan said: "Oxlade-Chamberlain is playing like he’s having a kick about down the park. Here to top up his pension."
Another tweeted: "Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain just isn’t quick enough on the ball to play in this country. Decision-making isn’t good enough either."

A third fan added: "Oxlade-Chamberlain thinking he's still in the English league. Far far too slow on the ball every time. Needs to wake up and realise this is a competitive game."
Someone else wrote: "You can add Oxlade‑Chamberlain to the list of English Premiership players who couldn't hack the Glasgow Derby."
A fifth commented: "Oxlade-Chamberlain, another English dud who thinks they can come to Scotland and breeze it, then realising they can’t handle the pace of the game here."
Another fan said: "There was no way Oxlade-Chamberlain was coming out for the second half."
In the second half, Celtic improved, with Kieran Tierney scoring in the 56th minute to make it 2-1.
With 88 minutes on the clock, Celtic were awarded a penalty after a VAR review, with Dujon Sterling adjudged to have handled the ball inside the area.
Half-time substitute Hatate stepped up, saw his spot kick saved by Jack Butland but tucked in the rebound to make it 2-2.
After the match ended in a draw, Rangers are now six points behind leaders Hearts, with Celtic third on 55 points.
