Alessia Russo hilariously tried to put off Ella Toone during an official photoshoot at Number 10 Downing Street following England's Women's Euro 2025 triumph.

England successfully defended their Euros title following their dramatic victory over Spain last Sunday.

Arsenal forward Russo cancelled out Mariona Caldentey's opener in normal time before the showdown went to a penalty shootout.

The Lionesses beat Spain 3-1 on penalties, with Chloe Kelly smashing home the winning spot-kick that registered an insane speed.

The squad went straight to Downing Street after arriving home from Switzerland and the red carpet was rolled out for Sarina Wiegman's side as they attended a reception to celebrate their Euros victory.

Captain Leah Williamson led the gathering alongside manager Wiegman, which was hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner.

Wiegman described the celebration as 'very, very special'.

She said: "To be able to go inside and also be in the garden there, [was] really nice. They had put up pictures of us to show what we had done in the Euros... it was very, very special.

"I feel so much respect from England and from the Royal Family too, I think that's the most important thing, feeling valued."

While stood outside Number 10, Russo was caught messing around with Manchester United star Toone, playfully sticking her finger in her best mate's ear.

Toone was having none of it as she yanked her head away from Russo's finger before smiling for the photographers.

They tried to stay composed for the snaps despite holding back fits of laughter.

Russo and Toone are more than just teammates but also best mates and enjoyed a spell together at Man United.

Russo called time on her career with the Red Devils by joining the Gunners, with Toone commenting on the big move at the time.

"Away from football, I just wanted to say best of luck to my best friend Alessia, moving clubs," she said in a TikTok video.

"I’m really proud of you and hope you smash it, I’m definitely going to miss you and spending time with you every single day.

"But I know you’ll be great and I know we’ll be friends forever. Love ya, miss ya and enjoy it."
