Alan Hudson wants the FA to DELETE his playing records with England.

The Chelsea legend is believed to be the very first player to file such a request and will make history if his stunning demand is successful.

Hudson has contacted the FA and has sensationally accused them of failing to support him in a struggle against permanent injuries suffered by a hit-and-run driver in 1997.

In August 2021, he told The Daily Mail: "I don't want anything to remain in the FA statistics to remind me of the demoralising and very depressing way I was passed over for all but two England matches."

Hudson gave another interview in May 2022 as he doubled down on his request to be removed from FA data.

“I want out," he exclaimed. "I've asked the FA to remove my name from everything, I don’t want anything to do with them. I’m preparing a legal case to force them to do it."

Hudson also made reference to Jack Grealish's treatment at Euro 2020, claiming it was similar to how gifted players such as himself were ignored by previous managers of the national side.

"I had been considering doing this for some time," he added. "Seeing how Grealish was humiliated by so little playing time when he was the one player who might have won the tournament for our country has pushed me over the edge.

"No wonder we haven't won so much as a tin pot let alone another major championship since 1966."

Hudson was awarded two caps by Don Revie following a three-year England suspension handed down by Sir Alf Ramsey, who punished him for failing to answer an under-23 international call-up.

On Revie calling him up, he said: "He only did that under pressure from the media and then discarded me, even though we won both those games and I was man of the match against West Germany in one of them.

"My dream of a long international career was ruined and has led to long-term depression, anxiety and panic for which I still have counselling. It will be a great relief to be removed from my links with the history of England football."

SPORTbible have reached out to the FA for comment on Alan Hudson's request.
