New Al Nassr manager Jorge Jesus' previous comments about the GOAT debate have emerged ahead of his first game with Cristiano Ronaldo.
After months of speculation linking him to clubs across the world, Al Nassr star and football legend Ronaldo finally decided to extend his contract at the Saudi Club in an announcement last month.
Following his controversial exit from Manchester United, the Portuguese striker joined Al Nassr in December 2022, and will now stay with the Saudi Pro League club beyond his 42nd birthday, after signing a two-year extension.
Just weeks later, Al Nassr announced that they had made the decision to appoint Jesus as their new manager, with the Portuguese boss joining after two years with rivals Al Hilal.

But after his appointment was made official, some of Jesus' previous comments about the GOAT debate have resurfaced online, and it's safe to say that they are controversial.

With five Ballon d'Or awards and nearly 1000 career goals, Ronaldo is considered by many to be the greatest football player of all time.
However, several other names can stake a claim for this title, with close rival Lionel Messi the other player considered by many as the GOAT.

But for Jesus, neither Ronaldo or Messi can be considered the best to ever do it, as he argues that this title belongs to Maradona for one specific reason.
Speaking following the Argentine legend's death in 2020, Jesus said: "Maradona was the best player in history, along with Pelé. Pelé is still here, he's alive.
"Maradona was the greatest, not only because of what he was as a genius and a player, but because of the way he acted. That marked for me the difference.
"He was a world best, but he had a passion for the game, he was born to be a footballer, he was born with everything. He is not a worked product, he was born that way. Love, all the feeling he had with the ball."

Although, Jesus did later agree that both Ronaldo and Messi were the best currently players, he also took a bizarre dig at the Barcelona legend.
He added: "Today, among the two best in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo has a little bit of that, Messi has nothing. He has no passion at all.
"Messi is a great player. But we are talking about what life and feeling are like, having a passion for the game and football. I think Maradona was even outstanding in relation to the others."
