A psychic named Baba Vanga allegedly made a rather chilling prediction ahead of the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Vanga, who died in 1996, has supposedly predicted several notable world events, including 9/11 and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite passing away almost 30 years ago, the Bulgarian’s accounts now come from her niece, Krasmira Stoyanova, or other people who wrote down her alleged visions before her death. Although some may have misinterpreted what she foretold.
As reported by the Mail, the clairvoyant hinted at a prediction that could impact AFCON, which is currently taking place in Morocco.

Despite none of Vanga’s alleged prophecies being written down, some still believe her prediction of humans contacting alien life in 2025, during an event that is globally televised, could still take place.

And with just two days of the year left, the options for the supposed televised event during which aliens could make contact may include AFCON.
The Mail reports that “the mystic's vision described a UFO that would appear like a 'new light in the sky' over the unnamed event, allowing humanity to meet extraterrestrials for the first time - bringing the world answers instead of fear”.
What those answers are or could be remain unclear, but some football fans may be wanting answers to questions related to the level of refereeing at AFCON following some questionable officiating performances.
The final group matches of the tournament are scheduled to take place between Tuesday (December 30) and Wednesday (December 31), before the round of 16 commences on January 3.
As of December 30, Nigeria, Algeria, South Africa, Morocco, and Mali had progressed to the round of 16, with ten spots still up for grabs.
Of course, while some have suggested that the televised event Vanga was supposedly referring to was a sporting one, there is no evidence that this is, in fact, the case.

Social media users have previously speculated that the event in question could be the Super Bowl or World Cup draw event, but there was no apparent contact between humans and alien life on those occasions.
The AFCON is set to run until January 18 and is viewed by around two billion supporters in 180 countries.
So, as entertaining as Mohamed Salah, Bryan Mbeumo, and Omar Marmoush contacting aliens would be, it’s fair to say Baba Vanga’s alleged prediction appears to be unlikely to happen at AFCON.
