Liverpool's new kit for the 2018/19 season was rolled out to the public last week and so far it's gone done a storm with supporters, who were full of praise for the new design which adds a touch of tradition to the look.

The kit, which has been labelled as 'red pepper', is a shade darker than this season's design, and even features a button-up collar. The kit was modelled by players Sadio Mane, Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino, Adam Lallana and Jordan Henderson for release.

Other players such as Loris Karius, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, captain Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez are seen in the new kit - and boss Jurgen Klopp features in the press roll-out.

Former Newcastle United player Georginio Wijnaldum also continued the marketing campaign by tweeting an image featuring himself, defender Joel Matip and prodigy striker Dominic Solanke in the new kit.

The kit could go down as one of the most historical Liverpool kits have ever brought, with the side, who have blown the footballing world away this season with a Champions League spot and semi-final place secure, look ready than ever to compete for a Premier League title next season.

But some eagle-eyed Reds supporters noticed something in the recent images of the new kit. Emre Can, the midfielder who's been linked with a move from Anfield for almost a year now, is missing from the photo campaign, prompting supporters to take to social media and ask whether this means that's truly the end of the German's time at Merseyside.

We're not sure whether absence from the annual kit photo-shoot suggests imminent departure for the central-midfielder. There is any number of reasons why Can was unable to feature in the marketing, but it certainly doesn't look good for those who want him to stay.
