Erling Haaland's dad escorted out of Santiago Bernabeu corporate box after 'insulting' Real Madrid fans

Erling Haaland's dad, Alf-Inge, was escorted out of a corporate box at Santiago Bernabeu during Real Madrid's 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

Erling Haaland's dad was 'escorted' out of a corporate box at the Santiago Bernabeu during Real Madrid's 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

The two sides met in a repeat of last season's Champions League semi-final and served up a cracking contest featuring two stunning goals.

Vinicius Jr bagged the opener with a thunderous strike in the 36th minute but Kevin De Bruyne matched it with a corker of an effort from distance to level matters in the second half.

It was a tad spicy on the pitch, with a few flare-ups going on during the game and five yellow cards shown. And it got a little heated in the stands, with footage showing Alfie Haaland getting into it with Real supporters.

Haaland Sr attends every game his goalscoring freak of a son plays in and he was in the VIP section at Real, who were heavily linked with the Norwegian previously and continue to be.

The former City and Leeds midfielder was filmed putting waving sarcastically and cupping his ear while being met with chants of "Tonto!" - which translates to "idiot!".

Spanish journalist Inaki Angulo claims he had been insulting Real supporters throughout the game

Taking to Twitter, Haaland Sr claimed he was relocated because he and other supporters celebrated De Bruyne's equaliser.

He commented: “Ok, Real Madrid fans were not happy we were celebrating KDB goal. Other than that, we had to move because Real Madrid fans were not happy with 1-1."

51-goal sensation Haaland was largely starved off service at the Bernabeu and surprisingly failed to get on the scoresheet for the second game on the trot.

His best chance came in the second half when he was darted in behind but was thwarted by an excellent last-ditch tackle from David Alaba.

Haaland had 21 touches overall - less than goalkeepers Ederson and Thibaut Courtois, and Pep Guardiola explained his lack of involvement afterwards.

He said: "The pockets and distances between the central defenders and full-backs were occupied by attacking midfielders, [Luka] Modric, Toni Kroos and [Federico] Valverde.

"Twin central defender close to Erling, it was not easy for him. He moved well and had his chances."

City travel to Everton on Sunday before playing the huge second leg against Real on Wednesday at the Etihad Stadium.
