
England have an 'untouchable player' without an international cap since 2023, according to a former Three Lions manager.
England qualified for the 2026 World Cup after beating Latvia 5-0 last month.
Thomas Tuchel's side face Serbia tonight before ending their World Cup qualifying campaign against Albania on Sunday.
Tuchel is set to name a strong starting XI against Serbia as he has just a few games before picking his final England squad for the World Cup.

Several players are expected to feature in Tuchel's World Cup squad, including captain Harry Kane, Marc Guehi and Bukayo Saka.
Some England stars have little time left to impress if they want to be on the plane to the United States, including Fikayo Tomori, who hasn't played for his country since 2023.
Despite being absent from the international fold, ex-England boss Fabio Capello has praised Tomori, naming him alongside Strahinja Pavlovic, as one of the 'two untouchables' at AC Milan.
"It’s a good defensive unit," he said. "But it needs a solid filter in front of it. The real strength of Milan’s defence is the midfield - (Luke) Modric and (Adrien) Rabiot are two great filters. They both have quality, and Rabiot adds physical power."

Tomori, 27, has become a crucial player for Milan since he signed for the club on a permanent deal in the summer of 2021.
He has made 188 appearances for the Italian giants, underling his importance.

Tomori has earned five caps since making his England debut in 2019.

But he hasn't played on the international scene since 2023.

Tomori, however, has been told that he could still force his way into Tuchel's plans, having spoke to the German at the end of last season.
"Every season is important. When it’s a World Cup season, things are a little bit different," he explained.

"I know that if I do well for Milan, then I have a good chance of making a squad.
"I spoke to (Thomas) Tuchel at the end of last season, before the international break at the end of the season, and he just said I need to keep doing what I’m doing, keep on improving, and I’m sure if Milan does well as a whole and if I do well individually, then I have a good chance of going.
"Of course I have my eye on it because I’ve never been, but it would be a really proud moment for sure."
England's current centre-back options include Guehi, John Stones, Ezri Konsa, Dan Burn, Jarell Quansah and Trevoh Chalobah.

Tomori has an uphill task to break into the squad given he has yet to be selected by Tuchel since his appointment.
