England manager Thomas Tuchel has been told to bring a new player into the World Cup squad after his impressive performances playing for the U21 side.
On Sunday afternoon, England's Young Lions continued in their UEFA EURO U21 campaign with a 0-0 away draw with Slovenia at the Stadion pod Zoborom.
Although the draw will no doubt disappoint some fans, England's 3-1 win over Czechia earlier in the week ensured that they remained on top of Group B going into the upcoming clash with Germany on Wednesday.

Despite the lacklustre result, several of England's youngsters stood out to fans with composed performances, leading to many taking to social media to demand that one U21 player receives a senior call up from England boss Tuchel.
Off the back of an impressive performance against Czechia, Elliott Anderson once again stood out for the Young Lions on Sunday evening, attracting praise from both the media and fans.
Reacting to the Nottingham Forest midfielder's performance in Slovenia, BBC senior reporter Alex Howell wrote on X: "Elliot Anderson starting to run the game now. He looks like a veteran playing in a youth team. Always makes the right decision."

While one fan wrote: "Elliot Anderson is some player. Got a ridiculous pass on him."
Another claimed: "Watching the england U-21 game and Elliot Anderson is too good for this level of football."
And one asked: "How is Tuchel not bringing up Tino Livramento and Elliot Anderson?"

During the match, Anderson made 55 passes, more than any other player on the pitch, while maintaining 95% accuracy with these passes.
The 22-year-old also played a key role in England's attack in the match, having one shot on target and creating three chances for his teammates.
If Anderson hopes to continue to represent his country on the international stage, then he will need to continue to impress at the U21 Euros this summer, as it will be the last major competition that he will be eligible to represent the Young Lions in.
But with another Premier League season and a campaign in the Europa League with Nottingham Forest to come, the Englishman will no doubt be hopeful that he can book a place in Tuchel's team for the 2026 World Cup.
