Thomas Tuchel has decided to give an England recall to Marcus Rashford after a year away from the national setup, it has been reported - but one other regular has been left out.

Tuchel names his first England squad on Friday morning, with fans eagerly awaiting to see how his selection will differ from previous boss Gareth Southgate.

It was reported on Thursday evening that both Newcastle's Dan Burn and Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers are set to earn maiden call-ups after impressive seasons in the Premier League and, in Rogers' case, European football.

According to The Athletic, Rogers' new Aston Villa team-mate Rashford is set to join him in the squad.

He went nearly two months without playing football between December and February after being frozen out by Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim.

But a loan move to Villa has revitalised him, and his impressive form for the Champions League quarter-finalists has earned him a recall to the Three Lions squad - something the forward admitted was one of his main aims when signing for the Midlands club.

His inclusion is set to come at the expense of Jack Grealish, it is reported.

The 29-year-old has struggled for form at Manchester City all season but was called up to Lee Carsley's first Nations League squad, scoring in the win over Republic of Ireland.

He withdrew from November's squad due to injury, and it appears hasn't done enough at club level to return to the squad.

The opposite can be said of Rashford, who has registered four assists in nine competitions for Villa and is beginning to hit top form once again.

Speaking about the United loanee and fellow new arrival Marco Asensio last month, manager Unai Emery said: "They have a lot of skills to add in our structure, helping us like they are doing.

"They are scoring goals and getting assists for their team-mates, playing in our structure and feeling comfortable. They're getting more confidence."
