FIFA fans were treated to a bargain as copies of FIFA 23 were priced at just 5p a few weeks ago, EA has now said they will honour the price.
The pricing blunder happened on the Indian Epic Games store, which is one of many platforms where the game is available to play, with other platforms including Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo.
After announcing that FIFA 23 was available to pre order, EA dropped the price for the new game to an incredible price of just 4.80 Indian Rupees for the Ultimate Edition, which when converted to Pounds is about five pence.
As a result of their pricing mistake, many eager gamers snapped up the game with a discount of 99%.

The company have now spoken to address their ‘own goal’.
EA said via an email, per IGN: “We scored a pretty spectacular own-goal when we inadvertently offered FIFA 23 pre-purchase on the Epic Games Store at an incorrect price.
“It was our mistake, and we wanted to let you know that we’ll be honouring all pre-purchases made at that price.
“We hope you love FIFA 23 - with HyperMotion2 technology, both men’s and women’s FIFA World Cups coming during the season, the addition of Women’s club teams, cross-play features and more, this is our most expansive FIFA ever. We’ll see you on the pitch in September.”

Those lucky enough to purchase the Ultimate Edition of the game for such a low price will be able to enjoy more benefits compared to the Standard Edition.
Gamers who bought the Ultimate Edition will be able to start playing the game on 27 September, three days before the release of the Standard Edition.
Ultimate Edition owners will also be given 4,600 FIFA points and a Team of the Week player item on the Ultimate Team feature.
As EA mentioned in their email, FIFA 23 promises to be the most expansive FIFA game ever. With new features such as the FIFA World Cup and the introduction of Women’s Club Football, previously, FIFA gamers were only able to play as international women’s teams.
