Diogo Dalot has been praised by Manchester United supporters for his passionate reaction to preventing a corner in their narrow win over Leicester.

Jadon Sancho scored the only goal of the game as United won 1-0 away at the King Power Stadium on Thursday.

It was the second clean sheet in a row for Erik ten Hag's side following Saturday's 1-0 win over Southampton.

Dalot produced an impressive performance at right-back as the Red Devils managed to shut out Leicester in front of their home support.

In the 72nd minute of the match, Dalot prevented a corner for Leicester after diving to block a cross from Harvey Barnes, with the ball deflected off the Foxes winger for a United goal kick.

Dalot reacted with a passionate fist pump before pushing his teammate Lisandro Martinez in celebration.

His reaction has received praise from Manchester United supporters on social media.

"F***ing passion from the lads. My team is re building due to one incredible man," wrote one fan, presumably referring to manager Ten Hag.

Another added: "Dalot has been f***ing incredible. Wins the goal-kick and celebrates it like a goal with Lisandro Martinez — that's the Man Utd mentality we want to see."

While a third wrote: "I've got tears in my eyes watching Dalot play man guy was absolutely written off at Manchester United and he got his head down, worked in the shadows and has now secured that RB spot at Manchester United.

"What a player."

But fans of rivals club believe it was an overreaction from the Portuguese player against a team currently rooted to the bottom of the Premier League.

"It's only a corner f***ing hell," wrote one fan.

Another added: "Bit much. Only won a tackle."

While another wrote: "Bit embarrassing really."

Victory for United moves them up to fifth in the Premier League, one point outside the Champions League places, while Leicester remain bottom.
