In what is a world first, a Dubai business magazine are hiring a reporter to cover Cristiano Ronaldo's stint in Saudi Arabia.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was unveiled as an Al Nassr player after signing a lucrative £173 million-a-year deal.

The media interest in Al Nassr and the Saudi Pro League has increased massively following on from Ronaldo's deal and it's emerged that Arabian Business want someone to be across everything the Portuguese superstar does in the Middle East.

The outlet publish their magazine weekly and received over 1,000 applicants from around the world in the 24 hours since the advert went live, as per Time.

It's a dream job for anyone who loves football and candidates must be fluent in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).

Previous experience writing about sport is not deemed to be essential, though the job entails covering all of Al Nassr's home and away games and any media and commercial related events, as well as providing "daily updates and insights into the life of Ronaldo as he settles into Saudi Arabia".

“Arabian Business is committed to covering the biggest stories in the Middle East, and nothing is bigger than Ronaldo’s move to Saudi Arabia,” managing editor Matthew Amlot said.

"We’re looking for a young, dynamic reporter who can help us train the spotlight on what the football megastar’s move means for Saudi Arabia, the Arabian Gulf, and the Middle East.

“We want to showcase Ronaldo’s new – and no doubt amazing – life as he begins this new phase of his career with his young family. How he adapts to the culture, his experiences as he tours the country, and of course his performances on the pitch – we will bring our readers, in both English and Arabic, Ronaldo news on a 24/7 basis.”

Those interested must send over their CVs and cover letter to [email protected].

Journalists at Ronaldo's Al Nassr presentation caused a stir after chanting 'SIUU' after his first press conference, so that might be a sign of what not to do.

Ronaldo's debut has been delayed due to him serving a worldwide two-match ban for appearing to slap a phone out of a boy's hand against Everton when he was a Manchester United player.

However, his first game in his new environment is set to be a dream 'Last Dance' with Lionel Messi, whose Paris Saint-Germain side are taking on an Al Nassr and Al Hilal combined XI in an exhibition match at the King Fahd Stadium in Riyadh on January 19.
