Leroy Sane and Joshua Kimmich have 'agreed deal with the same club' ahead of sensational double free transfer deal

The two German stars are reportedly set to leave Bayern Munich this year.

Bayern Munich star Leroy Sane and Joshua Kimmich are reportedly set to join the same club in a massive double transfer.

Nearly two weeks after the opening of the January transfer window, there is yet to be any major moves within the top teams in Europe, with many biding their time to complete their deals late in the window.

German giants Bayern Munich have been linked with several big names so far, including Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold, ahead of his contract expiring at the end of the season.

But now, the Bundesliga club may have been handed a massive blow as two of their biggest players have reportedly agreed deals to leave the club and join the same team.

According to Spanish outlet El Nacional, via DeadlineDayLive, both Leroy Sane and Joshua Kimmich have both reportedly agreed pre-contract arrangements to join La Liga giants Barcelona as free agents in the summer.

Both players are entering the final six months of their deals, making them eligible for free transfers from July 1.

And, despite interest from several Premier League sides, it would appear that Sane and Kimmich have both decided to join Barcelona and reunite with former manager Hansi Flick, who has enjoyed huge success since joining the Spanish side last year.

While playing under the German manager, Sane scored 10 goals and assisted 12 in 44 games.

However, Sane has struggled replicate this form in the 2024/25 season so far, as he has just five goals and one assist in 19 appearances across all competitions this season.

With that in mind, it could be possible that Bayern Munich feel that it may be time to part ways with the 29-year-old, despite initial reports suggesting that they would be keen to extend his stay at the Allianz Arena.

Meanwhile Kimmich has made more appearances for Flick than any other manager in his career, playing for the German boss in 74 matches across his time at Bayern Munich.

In these matches, the midfielder scored 12 goals and assisted 26 more, making him an indispensable part of Flick's side.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that several clubs have reportedly expressed an interest in signing the 29-year-old should he become available for free in the summer, with the most recent being Liverpool.
