Bundesliga star 'keen' for Premier League move with Arsenal 'very interested' in the 22-year-old

Bundesliga star 'keen' for Premier League move with Arsenal 'very interested' in the 22-year-old

A Bundesliga star is reportedly keen on a Premier League move, with Arsenal said to be interested.

Eintracht Frankfurt star Jesper Lindstrom is open to a summer transfer move to the Premier League, according to reports, with Arsenal said to be interested in signing him.

The 22-year-old has scored seven goals and provided two assists in just 19 Bundesliga games this season. It is his second campaign in the German top flight since joining Eintracht from Danish giants Brondby in 2021.

He netted twice in a 3-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach in October, and has also scored against Bayer Leverkusen and Union Berlin this season.

Lindstrom also provided the winning goal in a 1-0 Champions League success over Marseille, with Frankfurt going on to qualify for the knockout stages as group runners-up.

His creativity and dribbling ability, particularly out of tight spaces, are two key strengths of his game, and the Dane's performances have led to reported interest from top European clubs.

Italian outlet Calciomercato reported in September that a host of clubs were chasing the attacking midfielder, including AC Milan, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Manchester City.

They also reported that Arsenal had joined the race, with Lindstrom potentially an ideal long-term addition to the Gunners' attacking ranks.

Now, it has been claimed that the 22-year-old would be interested in a move to England.

According to German outlet Sport1, Lindstrom is open to moving to the Premier League, which may give Arsenal added impetus to seal a deal this summer.

One stumbling block, however, is that the Denmark international is contracted to Frankfurt until 2026, meaning the German club have no immediate need to sell.

A high premium, therefore, could be commanded, meaning Arsenal may well have to get the cheque book out during any negotiations with the reigning Europa League champions.

In a recent interview (via Sport1), Lindstrom refused to address whether he would stay or depart Frankfurt in the future, instead stating that he left transfer business for his advisors to deal with.

He said: "I can't say if I'm going this summer, next year or in 10 years. I told my advisor to take care of it. I'm concentrating on my game."
