Nottingham Forest could make a swift decision on Ange Postecoglou following their latest setback as a shock replacement is being considered.
Forest lost their third game in a row across all competitions following Saturday's crushing Premier League defeat to Chelsea.
Postecoglou came out firing in his pre-match press conference, but his side succumbed to Chelsea, who ran out 3-0 winners at the City Ground.
Second-half goals from Josh Acheampong, Pedro Neto and Reece James piled the pressure on Postecoglou, who has yet to win a match since replacing Nuno Espírito Santo last month.
The Australian gaffer has taken charge of eight games since landing the Forest job, losing six of them, including a Carabao Cup defeat to Championship side Swansea City.
Before Forest's clash, it had been reported that Evangelos Marinakis could dismiss the 60-year-old from his post if they lost to Chelsea.

According to Sami Mokbel, Forest have Fulham boss Marco Silva, Sean Dyche and Steve Cooper on their radar.
Silva is their 'preferred target', with Dyche, who is a free agent, also on their radar. The shock prospect of re-appointing Cooper has been considered, too, per Mokbel.
Cooper managed Forest from September 2021 to December 2023 and helped the club win promotion back to the Premier League following their Championship play-off victory in 2022.
He was sacked in December 2023 following a poor run of results, with Santo replacing him.
Cooper returned to management when he was appointed Brondby manager.
He signed a three-year contract with the Danish club last month.

Dyche, however, would be a more straightforward appointment given he is out of work following his Everton dismissal in January.
He also lives close to Nottingham and is available for nothing.
