England face the Czech Republic in an explosive clash in London on Tuesday night

England host the Czech Republic at Wembley Stadium in their final fixture of the Euro 2020 group stage this evening - with both battling for the top spot.

Gareth Southgate's men will be looking to put Friday's underwhelming draw against Scotland behind them and, if they can secure a positive result against the Czechs, it will be easily forgotten.

The Czech Republic are unbeaten in their first two matches at this year's tournament and will pose a strong test for Southgate's young lions.

Last time out, the Czechs came out victorious against England in qualification for this very tournament with a 2-1 home win back in 2019.

The away match, however, was far less impressive for the Czechia after they were thrashed 5-0 by the Three Lions at Wembley, the venue for this evening's eagerly anticipated match.

Victory for England will see them top the group, while a draw will see them finish runners up to the Czechs.

On the other hand, defeat could mean England finishing third, but they would still qualify as one of the best third-placed teams.

With the group stages now reaching its conclusion, our tipster Robert Mann takes a look at some of the best bets from England vs Czech Republic to get your teeth stuck into.

England vs Czech Republic betting tips & predictions

England are 1/2 to win, with the Czech Republic priced at 13/2 to come away with the victory. A draw is priced at 11/4.

Prediction: 2-1 (7/1)

Half-Time/Full-Time: Draw/England (3/1)

England are yet to concede in this year's tournament and changes are expected with Jack Grealish likely to start after an impressive cameo against Scotland on Friday.

And for tonight's game, we expect Gareth Southgate's side to bounce back, although it will be no easy feat against a stubborn Czech Republic team.

As we know from England's warm-up games before the tournament, Southgate's men have started slowly, but tend to finish the game on a strong, positive note.

Taking that into account, we're backing both sides to head into half-time goalless, before the Three Lions go for the Czechs' jugular in the second half - clinching the top spot of the group in the process.

First goalscorer: Harry Kane (13/5)

Harry Kane has gradually developed to become a Swiss Army knife of a forward, with a passing range to make the average deep-lying playmaker weep and off-the-ball movement to tear defences apart.

So far during this summer's European Championships, though, the England captain has been shy of chances on goal - despite being one of the tournament favourites to win the Golden Boot.

With the knockout stages now on the horizon, Kane will, almost certainly, be chomping at the bit to get his name on the scoresheet - and we're backing him to do so this evening.

What's even more interesting is that the Czech Republic were in England's qualifying group for the Euros and Kane scored in both the home and away ties. Make of that what you will.

To be carded: Tomas Soucek (7/2)

It should be a feisty affair on Tuesday with the rain forecast to pour down again - and card-happy Portuguese referee Artur Soares Dias will be seeing the game through.

He gave four yellow cards in the only other Euro match he has been in charge of as Turkey were defeated by another home nation in Wales.

It will be interesting to see if Gareth Southgate finally gives Jack Grealish a start and, if he does, then we're backing Tomas Soucek to be carded.

Grealish, recorded as the most-fouled player in the Premier League last season, will be hovering around his area and the West Ham United man is known to be prone to a foul or two.

England team news

The news that Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell have been forced to self-isolate have thrown England's plans for this game into chaos.

England have confirmed that the pair must isolate up to and including Monday, 28 June, after coming into close contact with Chelsea team-mate Billy Gilmour for more than 15 minutes after the Scotland midfielder tested positive for coronavirus.

Meanwhile, Harry Maguire - who remained on the bench against Scotland - is still pushing for a return to action from a six-week injury lay-off. He is rumoured to be starting this evening.

Elsewhere, there have been increased calls for Gareth Southgate to give Jadon Sancho a chance - especially considering the lack of chances the Three Lions had against Scotland.

The tricky Borussia Dortmund winger has not yet played a single minute for England at the tournament, despite his red hot form for both club and country ahead of it.

Sancho's Dortmund teammate Jude Bellingham and Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish could also feature.

Czech Republic team news

The Czech Republic do not have any reported injury concerns ahead of this evening's match.

Star striker Patrik Schick busted his nose in the 1-1 draw against Croatia last time out, but that did not deter the forward from continuing with the game.

The 25-year-old Bayern Leverkusen striker is in sizing form after his goal of the tournament contender against Scotland in their opening fixture.
