The racing driver accused of raping a nurse at Formula 1 legend Michael Schumacher's home has reportedly been named.
Earlier this week, it was claimed by Swiss news outlet 24heures that a racing driver and 'close friend' of Schumacher's son, Mick, allegedly raped a nurse in an upstairs bedroom of the family home in 2019.
The alleged victim, in her thirties, worked on the property and was reportedly part of the medical team providing on-site care to Schumacher, who suffered serious injuries after a ski accident back in 2013.
No members of the Schumacher family are implicated in the allegations.

Now, according to The Sun, the driver accused of raping the nurse has been named as Joey Mawson.
The report stated that the prosecution alleges Mawson, 29, raped the woman twice after a cocktail party at Schumacher's mansion in Gland, Switzerland, in 2019.
Mawson denies the charge, stating that their relationship was 'close and consensual'.
The Australian also reportedly claimed that the pair had 'previously shared a kiss at a Geneva nightclub'.

Mawson is yet to publicly comment on the allegations.
A trial was reportedly scheduled for this week after an indictment was drawn up by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the District of La Côte.
However, according to The Sun, Mawson, who is currently banned from racing due to a doping scandal, failed to appear in court on Wednesday.

Following Mawson's failure to show up, it has been reported that the rape trial has now been formally opened, but it was then adjourned to 'a date to be fixed'.
As claimed by The Sun, court documents alleged that Mawson was playing pool with two other members of Schumacher's staff when the alleged victim joined them.
The nurse then began to feel unwell and was carried back to her room by her two colleagues.
It is shortly afterwards that Mawson is accused of entering the room and raping her. He is accused of raping the nurse twice while she was in an unconscious state, as per the indictment.

The files also claimed that neither of the other two medics who were at Schumacher's home that evening saw or heard anything, and the nurse herself woke up with no memory of the night’s events.
The victim is said to have filed a complaint two years after the alleged assault.
