The racing driver accused of raping a nurse at Michael Schumacher’s home has 'not been heard from in months' and is said to have left Switzerland in 2024, according to a new report.
On Tuesday evening, the Swiss publication 24heures reported that a man in his late thirties allegedly raped a nurse in an upstairs bedroom of Schumacher's family home in 2019.
The report suggests the accused is a racing driver and a 'close friend' of Schumacher’s son, Mick. The alleged victim, in her thirties, reportedly worked on the property and was part of the medical team providing on-site care to Schumacher.
The nurse is said to have filed a complaint two years after the alleged assault.

As reported by 24heures, the nurse played pool with two colleagues and the accused on the evening of the assault. The nurse began to feel unwell, and her colleagues took her back to a private room reserved for staff before carrying her to bed.

It is shortly afterwards that the unnamed driver is accused of entering the room and raping her. He is accused of raping the nurse twice whilst she was in an unconscious state, as per the indictment.
Neither of the other two medics who were at Schumacher’s home that evening saw or heard anything.

A report from The Sun has claimed that the alleged rapist left Switzerland in 2024, but could be extradited back to the country.
The publication also spoke to an investigating source, who claims that officials went to Gland, Switzerland, to speak with legal officials last year about the allegations. As per the source, Swiss prosecutors were told he “has not been heard of for months, but has denied any wrongdoing”.
They added that the man cannot be traced easily as he is no longer in touch with any officials.

Schumacher, a seven-time F1 world champion, was airlifted to hospital in December 2013 after being involved in a skiing accident in the French Alps.
He was placed in a medically induced coma until June 2014, with doctors stating that the use of a helmet saved his life.
The 56-year-old has since been recovering at home with his family, who have decided not to release details about his condition in order to protect his privacy.
