Lewis Capaldi has issued a response after being involved in a hilariously awkward moment with Martin Brundle ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix.
Capaldi was in attendance for the latest race in the F1 calendar, where George Russell claimed victory from pole position and McLaren claimed the 2025 constructors' championship.
The Scot, who recently returned from an extended break where he prioritised his mental health, performed at the Padang Stage ahead of the event.
He was then on the grid just before lights out commenced but was snubbed by Sky Sports reporter Brundle.

In his customary and popular 'Grid Walk' segment, Brundle was in conversation with a whole host of drivers, employees and celebrities.
Every section throughout the F1 season is live and interrupted and there is always the potential for chaos.
In this instance, Brundle mistook Capaldi's older brother for the 28-year-old - coming up to him and saying "Lewis, wonderful to see you".

Anthony Capaldi, an actor wearing a McLaren cap, replied, "Martin I'm his brother".
Brundle then proceeded to apologies, stating, "You’re his brother! Sorry, they told me he had a cap on!” and interviewing the brothers for a brief period - with Brit Award winner Capaldi telling him he was a "big fan".
He wrapped up the chat by saying, "Lovely to speak to you on the grid, thank you" and Capaldi went for a handshake which was accidentally ignored by Brundle - who had to move on quickly.
Having been pied, Capaldi was able to see the funny side and shook his own hand, commenting, “I’ll hold that then" while staring down the camera lens.

The moment widely circulated on social media and shortly afterwards, the 'Someone You Loved' singer responded.
Posting to his 1.4 million followers on X, formerly known as Twitter, he simply wrote: "B**ched by brundle."
Brundle, who used to race for Williams and McLaren, also spoke to comedian Jack Whitehall and Superman actor David Corenswet but they were without any major incident.
