Lando Norris has been punished for an incident involving Oscar Piastri and the consequences 'could involve money'.
The McLaren drivers have emerged as strong favourites for the Formula 1 world title, with Piastri currently leading his teammate by 22 points.
While the team have allowed the pair to race under their 'papaya rules,' they must race fairly and avoid collisions
At the Singapore Grand Prix, Norris made an ambitious move on Piastri into the third turn and banged wheels with his teammate.

The incident prompted a furious reaction from Piastri over team radio.
The Australian said: "Mate, that's not fair. Sorry, that's not fair. If he has to avoid another car by crashing into his team-mate, that's a pretty s**t job of avoiding."
Norris finished third, while Piastri came fourth, narrowing the championship gap by three points.

After the race, McLaren boss Andrea Stella confirmed the team would launch a formal review into the clash.
Now, Norris has revealed that following the review, he has been deemed responsible.
Speaking ahead of the United States Grand Prix, the Briton said: "Things were reviewed and there will be repercussions for me until the end of the season.
"If you're clever, you'll see what it is.

"The team held me accountable for what happened, which I think is fair.
"And, yeah, then we made progress from there with me understanding what the repercussions were for myself."
Norris' comments have sparked speculation about the potential consequences that he could face.

On Sky Sports F1, pundits debated what McLaren might do.
Karun Chandhok said: "We're assuming it's a sporting repercussion. It could well be you're handing over your podium prize money from Singapore to your teammate."
David Croft added: "A fine is not a deterrent. You're still going to be world champion if you go against it.
"And I don't think Oscar will care one dot if and when he becomes world champion at the end of the season."

McLaren have not confirmed the nature of the punishment but it has done little to dampen speculation.
The drivers will renew their rivalry this weekend at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, with the race scheduled for 8 pm UK time on October 19.
With only six races left of the season, Norris is running out of time to close the gap on Piastri.
However, McLaren will need to be wary of four-time world champion Max Verstappen, who has continued to reduce the deficit and is now just 63 points adrift.
