Oscar Piastri voiced his anger with McLaren over team radio after he made contact with team-mate Lando Norris on lap one of the Singapore Grand Prix.
Norris made contact with Piastri's car at turn two after attempting an overtake up the inside of his team-mate.
Replays showed that Norris had to take avoiding action away from Max Verstappen's Red Bull in front, causing the contact with Piastri and front wing damage to his car.
Championship leader Piastri emerged unscathed but was left unhappy with the incident and the fact he had dropped down a position to fourth.

He asked race engineer Tom Stallard: "So are we cool with Lando just barging me out of the way or? What's the go to there?"
Stallard told his driver that McLaren would assess the incident, but made the Australian's mood even worse by later informing him that no action would be taken during the race.
Piastri hit back: "Mate, that's not fair. Sorry, that's not fair. If he has to avoid another car by crashing into his team-mate, that's a pretty **** job of avoiding."

There have been flashpoints involving the two McLaren drivers in recent races.
At the Italian Grand Prix, the team asked Piastri to let his team-mate through into second place after Norris fell behind due to a slow pit-stop.
The Australian questioned the call at the time but was more diplomatic after the Grand Prix, stating: "There were clearly valid reasons for swapping back. Lando qualified ahead and was ahead for the whole race, so I get that. There's just some things we need to discuss."
During the last Grand Prix in Baku, Piastri crashed out of both qualifying and the race, though his loss of points to Norris in the championship standings was fairly minimal as the Brit could only finish seventh.
