Lando Norris has spoken out for the first time since Christian Horner was sacked by Red Bull following his maiden home victory at the British Grand Prix.
Norris added major pressure to his McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri in Silverstone, with his victory narrowing the gap in the driver's championship to just eight points.
Piastri had been winning the race after passing Max Verstappen, but received a 10-second penalty for a safety car infringement which paired with a spin for the Dutchman, handed the lead to Norris.
Despite the controversy surrounding Piastri's penalty, the world of Formula 1 has soon turned their attention elsewhere following the shock news of Christian Horner's sacking at Red Bull.

On Wednesday morning Red Bull confirmed that the team principal of 20 years would be replaced by Laurent Mekies with immediate effect.
Horner won six constructor titles, eight driver titles, and 124 grand prix for Red Bull since 2005, and managed 14 drivers in that time.
During recent years, there have been multiple reports of Red Bull being interested in signing Norris from Red Bull, which would have likely solved the team's issue of a second seat alongside Verstappen.

However, Norris remained loyal to McLaren's project even when the team was at the back of the grid putting pen to paper on multiple long-term deals.
With Norris' Silverstone win putting the nail in the coffin of Horner at Red Bull, the McLaren driver addressed fans for the first time since the news at McLaren HQ.
"Hello everyone, we're back home in MTC from what was a very, very incredible weekend," Norris told fans via X, commenting on what McLaren described as a 'whirlwind week' in F1.

"A win in our home race as a team, my home race as well, so a very, very special one. A Sunday which was pretty up and down, full of every condition possible.
"So one of the trickiest races we've done, so to come out on top made every single thing worth it this weekend. So very, very special, incredible memory.
"Thanks to all the fans who cheered us on. To have a 1-2 in our home race with so many of our friends and family there was incredible.
But now we're back, back at MTC, back to reality. Here for some simulator, here for some work, and getting ready for the next time out.
