Christian Horner has reportedly been in contact over a shock return to Formula 1, less than two weeks after his Red Bull departure.
Earlier in the month, the F1 world was shaken to its core by the sudden announcement that Horner had been sacked by Red Bull.
After 20 years at the helm, the 51-year-old was replaced by Laurent Mekies, who was promoted from sister team Visa Cash App Racing Bulls.
During his time in charge, Horner led the Milton Keynes-based team to six constructors' championships and eight drivers' world titles.

Reacting to Horner's sudden exit, reigning world champion and Red Bull superstar Max Verstappen paid tribute on social media.
The Dutchman wrote: "From my first race win, to four world championships, we have shared incredible successes. Winning memorable races and breaking countless records. Thank you for everything, Christian!"
Since leaving the Red Bull Racing team, Horner has been linked with the likes of Ferrari and Alpine ahead of the 2026 campaign.

However, it was recently reported that contacts have taken place between Horner and Cadillac, who will be joining the F1 grid as the 11th team next season.
As reported by Formula Uno Analisi Tecnica, Cadillac have emerged as the 'likeliest' destination should the Brit look for a return to the sport.
It has been suggested that 'the two parties are talking' but the team will have to 'rework their operation to find room for a dominant figure like Horner'.
Back in December 2024, Cadillac appointed Graeme Lowdon to lead the team.

Lowdon was last involved in the F1 paddock back in 2015, when he served as Manor Marussia's Sporting Director.
The Brit then played a key role in developing Zhou Guanyu, who eventually became the first Chinese driver to get a full-time seat in F1.
F1 will return this weekend with the Belgian Grand Prix, taking place around the Circuit of Spa-Francorchamps.
