Christian Horner has reportedly been banned from returning to Formula 1 at the start of the 2026 season.
Following the 2025 British Grand Prix in July, the F1 world was shaken to its core after news emerged that Horner had been relieved of his duties as CEO and team principal of Red Bull.
The 52-year-old was swiftly replaced by Laurent Mekies, who was promoted from sister team Visa Cash App Racing Bulls.
Having led Red Bull to multiple world championship titles, it was no surprise that Horner was linked with a swift return to the F1 paddock.

Now, it has been claimed by F1 journalist Pedro Fermin Flores that Horner is in 'advanced talks' to join Alpine.
The report stated that Horner is in ‘advanced negotiations’ with Alpine to ‘acquire a stake’ in the team.
However, Horner will not be allowed to make a return to F1 until at least April 2026.
This is due to the terms of his exit from Red Bull, who will mean he has to sit quietly for the next three months before making what would be a high-profile return to the sport.
Recently, Red Bull superstar Max Verstappen stated that he had been in contact with Horner after his sacking.
Verstappen said: "Every week, every race. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday and usually via text message. But also on holiday, for example. Every week.
"Of course, he knows everyone in the team, but it's more about ‘I wish you good luck’ and 'I believe in you’ - biggest fan."
The Dutchman added: "What we've all been through. But also, ‘you know you can do it’. You know, all that kind of stuff, and outside of that, of course, you talk about things other than racing, too. Yes, every week. Every race weekend. Even after his contact."
