Luke Littler Admits Darts Fans Are ‘Getting Bored’ of Three Players

Luke Littler made an honest admission after his first-round victory at the Winmau World Masters.

Luke Littler admitted fans might be 'getting bored' of three darts stars in an honest admission following his victory over Mike De Decker at the Winmau World Masters.

Littler's 2026 got off to a stunning start as he made a successful defence of his World Darts Championship title.

He has won six of the eight ranked PDC major TV titles over the past 12 months as he aims to win the Winmau World Masters.

The 19-year-old survived a huge scare in his tournament opener as he eventually beat De Decker 3-2.

De Decker missed a match dart for a 3-1 win before Littler fought back to claim a big win in Milton Keynes

Speaking after his victory, Littler made an admission, revealing that he is aware some fans might be 'getting bored' of his stranglehold on the sport, name-dropping rivals Luke Humphries and Gian van Veen in the process.

It comes after the crowd have backed his opponents in the big moments of his matches.

Manchester United fan Littler also referenced Wayne Rooney's infamous outburst after England's goalless draw with Algeria at the 2010 World Cup.

"Everything was going on tonight - boos, cheers - I just had to do my thing," he said.

"I think in my head now people want to see new winners. People are getting bored of me, Luke (Humphries) and Gian (van Veen) winning.

"Obviously, people can pick who they want to support or who they want to boo."

Littler added: "Like I said tonight, I am not going to do anything during the game or after it. I'm just going to play my darts.

"You have seen it with Wayne Rooney - that clip at the World Cup, 'nice to see your fans boo you'.

"I saw that on my TikTok literally a few hours after my Rob Cross game (at the World Championship).

"It's pretty crazy. Like I said, I have to learn from the Worlds and just not react."

Littler resumes his Winmau World Masters campaign in Saturday's evening session when he faces Ross Smith in the second-round.
