Every I’m A Celeb Star Who's Died Since Appearing Including Darts Legend

Seven contestants have passed away since their time on the show.

Several stars who took part in ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! have sadly passed away, including a darts legend.

Around November time, most of the United Kingdom is often glued to the TV as I'm A Celeb takes centre stage.

The popular show attracts celebrities from around the world of TV, music, film, radio, sports, modelling, and more to compete in challenges deep within the Australian jungle.

Throughout the years, sports stars such as Harry Redknapp, Jill Scott, Tony Bellew, Ian Wright, David Haye, Chris Eubank Snr and Amir Khan have all taken part in the show.

However, seven contestants have passed away since their time on the show throughout its history.

Eric Bristow

Back in 2018, darts legend Bristow died after suffering a heart attack while walking back to his car following an appearance at a Premier League Darts event. He was 60 years old.

Bristow was on I'm A Celeb back in 2012 and finished fourth.

Kim Woodburn

In June 2025, it was confirmed that Woodburn had passed away at the age of 83 following a short illness.

The former How Clean Is Your House? star entered the I'm A Celeb jungle back in 2009, when she finished in second place behind Gino D'Acampo.

Tara Palmer-Tomkinson

The television personality passed away in her home in London, aged 45, in 2017, with her sister telling the media that the cause of death was peritonitis and a perforated ulcer.

Palmer-Tomkinson was the runner-up in the very first series of I'm A Celebrity, broadcast in 2002.

David Gest

American music promoter and later Celebrity Big Brother star Gest passed away aged 62 in London, with his death being reported as a stroke.

In 2006, Gest finished in fourth place on I'm A Celeb.

Bobby Ball

Ball passed away in 2020 at the age of 76 after being infected with COVID-19.

The comedian starred in the fifth series of I'm A Celeb along with his long-term work partner, Tommy Cannon.

Annabel Giles

Giles was a contestant on I'm A Celeb back in 2013 but was the first to be evicted by the public vote.

In November 2023, Giles passed away four months after being diagnosed with glioblastoma - an aggressive form of brain cancer.

Freddie Starr

Starr entered the jungle back in 2011 but was forced to quit to the show following an allergic reaction.

The comedian and actor died from heart disease back in 2019 at the age of 76.
