CJ Egan-Riley and Taylor Harwood-Bellis are set to join hands with Vincent Kompany at Burnley this week, according to a new report.

Kompany was recently confirmed new Clarets boss after ending a three-year spell with Belgian side Anderlecht ahead of the new campaign.

The former Manchester City skipper will be aiming to get the Lancashire outfit back to the top-flight after Burnley suffered relegation on the final day of the past Premier League campaign.

Egan-Riley was handed his Premier League and Champions League debuts by Pep Guardiola last season, with the 19-year-old also featuring in the Carabao Cup for his boyhood club.

The England U-19 international made 23 appearances for Brian Barry-Murphy’s side in their run to the Premier League 2 title last term.

However, Egan-Riley will complete a permanent move to Burnley this week in his desire of regular first-team football after spending over a decade at the Etihad Stadium.

As for Taylor Harwood-Bellis, the Stockport-born defender will seal a season-long loan to Turf Moor to reunite with Kompany, with whom he worked for the first half of the previous campaign.

However, the 20-year-old returned to England in January and joined Stoke on loan for the second half of the season, making 23 appearances across all competitions for the Potters.

According to a new report by Tyrone Marshall of Manchester Evening News, Egan-Riley and Harwood-Bellis will both complete their respective moves to Burnley this week.

It is further mentioned that Manchester City are due compensation for Egan-Riley and that the Blues have reached an agreement over a fee with the Clarets.

Manchester City are set to jet off to the United States for pre-season in July, with Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez set to travel with the first-team in preparation for their debut seasons in England.

The Premier League champions have acted quickly in the transfer market by bolstering their frontline, having won back-to-back league titles largely in the absence of a natural striker in Pep Guardiola’s ranks.

Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips is also expected to complete a reported £42 million switch to the Etihad Stadium in the near future.

City remain interested in signing Marc Cucurella from Brighton and have made the Catalan left-back a key target for the summer transfer window.

The Blues are keen on getting as much transfer business done as possible before Guardiola takes his side to the United States for pre-season.

Gabriel Jesus is expected to be announced as an Arsenal player in the coming days after completing his medical in London on Monday ahead of a reported £45 million move to the Emirates Stadium.

Chelsea are set to push in their bid to sign Raheem Sterling this week after club owner Todd Boehly held private talks with Manchester City officials over their valuation of the England international.

There remains uncertainty over Oleksandr Zinchenko’s future at the Etihad Stadium, with Stefan Ortega set to sign a three-year deal with City next week as Zack Steffen looks set to leave on loan for the upcoming campaign.
