While the result won't go on his record, you could see how much the defeat to Floyd Mayweather meant to Tenshin Nasukawa.

After he was knocked down three times in the first round, Nasakuwa's corner threw the towel in and the fight was over before it even got started - Mayweather making millions in just 139 seconds.

The 20-year old is highly-rated in the kickboxing world but the gulf in class in Tokyo was apparent even with Mayweather not training properly.

Nasakuwa was reduced to tears as soon as the fight was done and dusted, clearly feeling as though he'd let the people of Japan down.

Shortly after the fight, he posted a lengthy and heartfelt message on Instagram, sharing his disappointment and showering praise on Mayweather - who he says he underestimated.

To be fair to Mayweather, once he finished dancing and celebrating, he was pretty humble about the whole thing and praised Nasakuwa.

"It was all about entertainment," the 50-0 fighter said post-fight.

"We had fun. Tokyo, you were amazing, but I'm still retired. We're both still undefeated. Tenshin is still a champion and a great fighter."
