Floyd Mayweather's next opponent will be Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa in an exhibition match but footage of the fighter in action shows he's anything but a slouch.

The crazy bout, which still has no rules or weight class but was announced in an official press conference where both fighters were present, will take place in MMA promotion Rizin on their big card at Saitama Super Arena in Tokyo to close out 2018.

People expected the 50-0 fighter to square off Conor McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Canelo or Manny Pacquiao in his next fighter, not a 20-year old kickboxer.

Still, footage doing the rounds shows that Nasukawa is not to be taker lightly. He's 27-0 in kickboxing, 4-0 in MMA on the whole and also boasts a 99-5 amateur kickboxing record before he turned professional aged 18.

He's just 5 foot 4 tall and only weighs 125 lbs but the kid, described by many as a "kickboxing sensation" looks very handy.

If Mayweather does end up fighting him in an MMA bout, which he has strongly hinted at on Instagram, then it could end very badly for him because Nasukawa clearly isn't in it for fun and games - he's out to make a massive name for himself.

"It was a surprise offer but I accepted without hesitation," said Nasukawa at the press conference.

"It's the biggest moment in my life and I want to be the man who changes history. I'll do that with these fists, with one punch - just watch."

Nasukawa already has two massive victories in his career so far. He knocked out former IBF world champion Amnat Ruenroeng in 2017, while he also edged out Kyoji Horiguchi - a guy who has fought eight times in UFC - via unanimous decision in his last fight back in September.
