Jake Paul has provided his most outrageous excuse to date about his defeat to Tommy Fury.

Having gone 6-0 by beating a slew of MMA fighters, Paul lost for the first time when he took on long-time rival Fury in a main event bout in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Fury won the eight-round contest via split-decision and though he did show some respect to his opponent, Paul rattled off a list of excuses for why he wasn't on top form and produced a "flat performance".

Although he claimed they weren't excuses, he said he got "sick" twice during his training camp and also injured his arm.

He proceeded to double down on his excuses and stressed that his defeat wasn't down to the work of Fury and instead "had everything to do with me".

Over a week removed from the bout and Paul is now going to even more extreme depths to explain why he lost - incredibly telling a story of having a wet dream which contributed to his sluggish outing.

Speaking on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, the Problem Child said: "| literally woke up in a panic like, 'F***.' You have two weeks of testosterone built up and the reason a wet dream happens is your body needs to release that energy. It knows inside of your mind that this is not good. Yeah I f***ed myself.

"It makes your legs weak… I think it's one of many reasons [why I lost]."

Brother Logan revealed he too had a wet dream before his fight with now-business partner KSI and explained that is a direct result of testosterone not being released.

"I remember when it happened to me, mentally, I was kinda destroyed a little bit.

"You had just done this thing that isn't easy for three weeks to a month, holding your batch in… it's not easy.

"And then, on the day of the f***ing fight, all your progress is destroyed. You're back to zero."

Paul is in a relationship with Julia Rose and has spoken before about how his sex life changes when in camp - with his coaches noticing when he has done the deed by his performance in an in-ring session.

He's therefore abstained but it's not been without difficulty as his other half teases him.

"You got to get a girl who lets you do threesomes," he told the Full Send podcast previously.

"We abstain for two weeks. We do have threesomes but not before the fight. I am not allowed to. It’s very tempting. She will be like teasing me and I am like, ‘f*** you.'"

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury once claimed he masturbated seven times a day going into his title defence against Dillian Whyte at Wembley.
