The PPV Price For Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr Has Been Labelled 'Crazy'

The PPV Price For Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr Has Been Labelled 'Crazy'

YouTube star KSI posted on Twitter after he found out the PPV price.

Fans will have to splash a hefty amount if they want to watch Jake Paul take on pro boxer Hasim Rahman Jr. at Madison Square Garden on Saturday, August 6.

The YouTuber-turned-prizefighter will try and extend his unbeaten run to 6-0 when he comes up against the son of two-time world heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman on SHOWTIME pay-per-view.

With wins against Nate Robinson, Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley under his belt, Paul was supposed to take on Tommy Fury but the Brit was 'denied entry to the United States' and the bout was postponed.

As well as Paul vs Rahman Jr, the card will feature Amanda Serrano, who will defend her Unified Featherweight World Title against Argentine Brenda “La Pumita” Carabajal in what promises to be an entertaining match-up.

Brandun Lee will also come up against Will Madera in a 10 round super-lightweight clash.

So how much will the event cost for fans?

You can order the PPV on Showtime's website for $59.99 – a price that has sparked plenty of reaction from social media in recent hours.

In fact, fellow YouTuber KSI – who will fight American personality Alex Wassabi at the O2 on August 27 – slammed the PPV price in a series of Twitter posts on Monday night.

Paul even decided to get involved in the conversation with several replies, with one suggesting KSI shouldn't even be charging more than $10 for his upcoming clash against Wassabi.

Here's a thread of what went down overnight.

Last year, KSI's manager Liam Chivers said the British YouTuber wants to fight Jake Paul in the future.

"It's not easy [to make a fight happen], especially not with JJ [KSI]," Chilvers told the Happy Hour Podcast. "Although if he said 'I want to fight someone', I'm sure we'd make it happen. But it has to be right for him.

"And people say 'will he fight Jake Paul?' - he absolutely wants to fight Jake Paul - but not until he is ready. He's several fights behind Jake, he's not stupid.

"Like with Logan, best team, best location, best team house, lovely place in Vegas, everything has to be perfect to give him the best possible chance without any distraction.

"That means he has to prepare again for Jake Paul and if that takes a bit longer, it takes a bit longer."
