Jake Paul has revealed a huge change he has to make after undergoing surgery following his fight with Anthony Joshua.

On Friday night, Paul and Joshua settled their differences inside the ring at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.

While many expected Joshua to dispatch Paul in the early rounds, the American YouTuber managed to last six rounds.

However, the Brit proved too strong as a brutal right hand secured a knockout win.

After the fight, Paul suggested that he had suffered a broken jaw.

He said: "I think my jaw is broken. But that was good, I'll come back and get a world championship belt at some point. We will heal the broken jaw, come back and fight people my weight. I'm going for the cruiserweight world title.

"I'm going to take a little break. I've been going hard for six years. I'll take some time off. This is amazing."

Taking to social media on Saturday, Paul stated that he has successfully had surgery, but will have to make a big change for the next seven days.

Paul wrote: "Just got out of surgery. Everything went smooth. Thanks for all the love. Lots of pain and stiffness. Gotta eat liquids for 7 days.

"S/o to the amazing team at Miami University hospital. Everyone was so gracious and caring. @ArmaniiJayy took amazing care of me with @iam_loriv."

Speaking after the defeat, Paul labelled Joshua as a 'great fighter'.

The American added: "Anthony Joshua is a great fighter, I got beat but that's what this sport is about. I will come back and keep on winning.

"I've already won in every single way of life. My family, my beautiful fiancé his sport has helped me so much in my life."

Meanwhile, Joshua was quick to call out Tyson Fury after scoring a victory.

He said: "If Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is, and he wants to put down his Twitter fingers, and put on some gloves, and come and fight one of the realest fighters out there, then step in the ring with me next if you're a real bad boy.

"Let's see you in the ring and talk with your fists."
