Netflix Users Spot Exact Moment They Knew Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua Was ‘Rigged’

Anthony Joshua knocked Jake Paul out in the sixth round of their heavyweight fight

Netflix viewers have pinpointed the moment they knew Anthony Joshua's heavyweight fight with Jake Paul was 'rigged'.

Although it took longer than many had expected, Joshua managed to stop Paul in the sixth round of their bout in Miami.

After a cautious start to the fight, the American was knocked down twice in the fifth round and was clinging on towards the end of the round.

Joshua knocked him down again at the start of the sixth before the referee brought an end to the fight later in the round.

Although Paul was ultimately knocked out as many fans had predicted, it took significantly longer than some had expected.

And it was not just Joshua who was left frustrated during the opening rounds, as Paul sought to avoid contact.

On social media, several fans speculated that the fight must have been 'rigged' because of Joshua's failure to knock Paul out during the early stages.

On X, one fan wrote: "AJ can’t knockout Jake Paul within the first 3 rounds was deffo in the contract bro could’ve dealt with him in the corner already."

Another added; "It’s bull. AJ gets him in a corner and doesn’t throw. Is he so afraid of his own chin that he won’t let his hands go vs Jake Paul?"

One fan said : "This Jake Paul fight is rigged. Joshua let's him out of the corner every time..."

While someone concluded: "Fight is already BS. AJ had Jake Paul in the corner and didn’t throw anything."

Ahead of the blockbuster fight, Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn made it clear the fight would not be scripted.

Speaking to IFL TV, he said: “So many people think it’s scripted. I don’t really know what to tell you.

“We would never take part in a scripted fight. I think it’s the most cringe…

“Listen, if you want to retire and go on the WWE or whatever, that’s fine.

“We’re not wasting our time here. There is no part of Anthony Joshua that wants to or will take it easy on Jake Paul or be scripted.

“This is a real, professional contest that AJ has trained for like he’s fighting for the world heavyweight championship.

“Have you seen the shape of him?”

After Joshua's fight with Paul, Hearn confirmed that next year they want to fight Tyson Fury, which he described as "the biggest fight in boxing."
