A Netflix commentator for the Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua fight revealed what he saw during the early rounds of the much-anticipated bout.

On Friday night, all eyes were on the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, as YouTuber turned boxer Paul took on two-time heavyweight champion Joshua in a boxing superfight streamed live on Netflix.

Although many expected an early knockout victory for Joshua, Paul managed to last six rounds before the Brit landed the telling blow to score a KO win.

Speaking immediately after his win, the former Olympic champion said: "It wasn’t the best performance. The goal was to get Jake Paul out and hurt him.

"He's (Paul) done really well tonight... I want to give him his props. It takes a real man to do that. Anyone who laces up these gloves, you give them respect."

In the early rounds, boos were heard inside the arena as the action failed to impress the fans.

Speaking on Netflix, commentator Mauro Ranallo also felt let down by the two fighters, stating what he noticed about the crowd and the action inside the ring.

He said: "The numbers are putrid to say the least. There has been no offence going on in this fight.

"The crowd aren’t having this at all. The first three rounds went down like a bucket of cold sick. Jake running, AJ following him without really threatening. Wonder if Netflix will ask for their money back."

Ranallo then repeated what the referee said to Paul and Joshua, he said: "Quote of the year. ‘Fans did not pay to see this c***’."

Joshua calls out Fury after win over Paul

During the aftermath of his win, Joshua called out rival Tyson Fury, with the pair yet to face each other inside the ring despite a war of words lasting over the last few years.

The 36-year-old said: "If Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is, and he wants to put down his Twitter fingers, and put on some gloves, and come and fight one of the realest fighters out there, then step in the ring with me next if you're a real bad boy.

"Let's see you in the ring and talk with your fists."
