How To Fix Netflix Streaming Issues Ahead of Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua

Netflix has a range of potential fixes in place for users who may experience streaming issues during Jake Paul's fight with Anthony Joshua.

The streaming giant will show the YouTuber-turned-boxer's much-anticipated fight with the two-time heavyweight champion, which is set to attract a huge audience.

It is the second time Paul will headline a card streamed live on Netflix, having defeated former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson last year.

That bout proved to be a huge commercial success, with Netflix claiming that 60 million households tuned in to watch the fight live around the world.

The event was shown at no additional cost to subscribers, with the streaming giant describing it as a "record-breaking night" for the platform.

Despite the impressive viewing figures,, there was some criticism from viewers following the event.

Some users reported issues with the stream buffering, while others complained of being unable to watch the fight.

Those technical issues appeared to impact users across a range of different Netflix subscriptions.

With Paul's fight against Joshua also expected to attraact huge viewing figures, Netflix have outlined a number of potential fixes for users who may experience difficulties.

Below is a list of fixes for each of the major individual devices:

Computers

  • Mac: Shut down your computer and wait 10 seconds before switching it back on.
  • Windows: Restart your computer, clear Netflix cookies from your browser and then re-load Netflix.

Streaming devices

  • Apple TV: Force close the Netflix app and restart your device, before then re-installing the Netflix app.
  • Cable/set-top box: Restart your device and your home network before re-loading the app.
  • Chromecast: Reset your settings by holding the button on your Chromecast device for 25 seconds/until the indicator light begins to flash.

Video game consoles

  • PlayStation 5: Check if your network can play Netflix, as mobile hotspots, cellular or satellite networks may not be able to run the platform to its maximum capabilities.
  • Xbox One: Uninstall the Netflix app by going to 'Manage App' -> 'Uninstall All' (twice) to confirm. Reinstall the Netflix app and select it once it has finished downloading before attempting to log in again.
