Eddie Hearn has lashed out at Conor Benn as their feud following the boxer's controversial move from Matchroom to Zuffa Boxing continues.
After a decade working with Matchroom Boxing since he turned professional in 2016, Benn made a shock move to join Zuffa in February, in a move that promoter Hearn has since described as a "dagger in the heart".
Hearn admitted that he had made a mistake in trusting the 29-year-old, who is said to have been lured away by a lucrative ÂŁ10million+ deal to fight Regis Prograis on the undercard of Tyson Fury's comeback against Arslanbek Makhmudov.
In the hours following the announcement, Hearn also revealed that he had loaned Benn over ÂŁ500,000 following his infamous failed drug test in 2022 which led to the cancellation of his fight with Chris Eubank Jr.

Benn has since passionately denied this claim, telling The Overlap: âNo one paid my legal bills. He [Hearn] didn't lend me a cent, I paid the legal bills myself."
But now, Hearn has spoken out again, revealing exactly why he had given Benn the money and what the British boxing star spent the money on.
âRight now, Iâm watching this stuff, thinking, âI just actually think you might be a compulsive liar,'â Hearn told iFL TV.
He continued: âSo, Conor Benn buys a house very close to the officeâŚhe says, âI canât believe Iâve got this house. I canât believe it.â I said, âYou know what, mate?â I said, âIâm so happy for you.â
"I said, âLetâs get this mortgage paid off. But I bet you, in a few monthsâ time, as you continue to earn money, youâll actually move out of here and youâll want a bigger house.'
âSo, he come to me, and he said, âI canât afford it right now, but itâs a great opportunity to buy.â He said, âWould you lend me the money?â I was like, âWhat we talkingâ?â He says, âQuarter of a million,'"
The Matchroom boxing promoter claimed that he then agreed to lend Benn the money need to pay off the mortgage and was then paid back following the boxer's next fight three or four months later.

But that's not where Hearn claims his loans to Benn ended, as shortly after he gave the boxer an advance on his purse for the Eubank Jr fight in 2022 so that he could purchase a new Rolls-Royce.
However, Hearn believes that Rolls-Royce didn't last long as he stated that it may have been sold to help pay his legal bills surrounding the cancelled Eubank Jr fight.
Three years later, Hearn admitted he got the ÂŁ300,000 loan back when Benn finally stepped into the ring with his fellow Brit for the first of two clashes at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which he won via unanimous decision.
